How do you communicate with your channel?

Snail Mail, E-mail, Text, Websites, Micro-Sites, Social Media, Intranets, Posters, Branded Sweets…you have probably tried all of the above as a means of speaking with your channel partners. However, which works best and do any of these work consistently?

For a whole host of reasons the answer is probably…Yes and No.

So is there another approach that does work? Well in our experience…Yes.

The one device that everyone now carries in their pocket or bag is their mobile phone.

According to a survey by ‘Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers’ the average person checks their mobile phone nearly 150 times per day.

Obviously this doesn’t apply to every audience in every channel but within certain sectors the mobile device is most certainly the very best way of engaging with your audience.

In addition, using mobile allows your audience to engage or respond at the most convenient time of day. This could be over lunch during the working day, on the bus or train during their commute, whilst having breakfast or last thing at night before their head hits the pillow.

From experience we have seen users voluntarily engage with programmes at every hour in the 24 hour day, on Christmas day, New Year’s day and from all corners of the globe during their travels.

FMI has a wealth of experience in the design, development and delivery of mobile based programmes and would be more than happy to discuss a solution to address you requirements.
